LION OF JUDAH DANCE MINISTRY
Co-Founder & Director: Evangelist Lisa Caleb
Lisa Caleb is a spiritually gifted interpretive dancer, whose ministry is visibly anointed. Her interpretation of such songs as “Alabaster Box” and “Behind the Veil” dramatically depicts the awesomeness of God’s power to bring about change in one’s life while inviting you to worship in His presence with reverence and gratitude for which He is – God Almighty. Having received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Arts, from Zahar Christian University.
Lisa Caleb is the co – founder and director of the Lion of Judah Dance Ministries at Artesian Well Church in Long Beach, California. In 1983, under the guidance of Artesian Well’s First Lady, Kathleen Norman, Lisa began to develop in the arts of interpretive dance long before it was an acceptable form of worship in many churches. Despite the opposition, she knew in her heart that the Lord was calling her to minister in this way. Mrs. Norman continues to support and encourages her daughter’s vision and in 1994, the Lion of Judah Dance Ministries was birthed.
Over the coming years, Lion of Judah has developed into several groups which includes; Cubs of Judah (ages 7 – 11), Tribe of Judah (Teens), and Judah 20:18 (Matured dancers). Lisa gracefully incorporates a unique blend of modern, ballet, mime, and pageantry with sign language and prophetic gestures that will make your spirit leap within you.
Lisa has served as Sacred Arts leader for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World California District P.Y.P.U. and is currently one of the leaders for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World California Central District. She has ministered throughout the United States through dance and the spoken Word. Many have asked for her teachings on starting and cultivating dance ministries and also teach on “How to Enter into the Presence of God”.
Every presentation seems to utter, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand” Ps. 95:6-7
