Dr. Kathleen Norman

From Azuza St. to Now…

 

Dr. Kathleen Norman hails from Los Angeles, CA with a rich heritage that traces all the way back to the Azuza Street Revival. Her grandparents came to Los Angeles from Louisiana in the early 1900’s and were filled with the Holy Ghost at the Azuza St. Revival. Her father, the late Deacon James Markham Sr., was born in the tent that housed the Apostolic Faith Home Assembly. As a child, she attended Home Assembly and grew with them from their 33rd St; 65th and Normandy locations to 3200 Adams Blvd. where she was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost.

 

Dr. Norman has enjoyed 58 years of marriage to Dr. James P. Norman, Jr., founding Pastor of Artesian Well Church. She is the proud mother of 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren.

 

With a passion for education, Dr. Norman has impacted the lives of children and adults both academically and spiritually which birthed Artesian Well Christian Academy

 

and Zahar Christian University. Dr. Norman holds several degrees in various concentrations such as Bachelor in Psychology; Doctorate in Christian Counseling and Doctorate of Divinity. A woman given to prayer, Sister Norman is over the Artesian Well Intercessory Prayer Ministry.

 

Dr. Kathleen Norman truly exemplifies the life of the Virtuous Woman.
